Photobooths
Photobooths
As the owner of Studio 3 and a long-time lover of all things artistic I would like to admit that for most of my life I have had a love – borderline obsession – of photobooths. Something about those 4 tiny photos is just so charming. With no photographer to muster a reaction from its subjects you are left to create a “pose” on your own. In esssence I feel like a photobooth can capture the “true” you like no photographer could.
Back in 2005 I began working on a series while I was studying fine art and photography at Kutztown University. What started off as simply amuzement for myself turned into a full fledged project which I titled “Photobooth Animal Kingdom Collection”. In this artistic series I created my own Photobooth strips in which I inserted animal portraits that I had photographed myself. My photobooth series was so well percieved that I ended up entering it into the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, which much to my surprise my series was accepted as a finalist. In 2006 it was showcased in the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada. My series went on to be displayed in many other venues and is now available for purchase in Studio 3.
“Dachshund Collection” by Kyley S. DiLuigiThis year I decided to continue on with my photobooth work and start a new series of prints. So I would like to present the release of “Dachshund Collection”, which features my very own Dachshund, Ammo. Who I might add is a very prominent fixture at Studio 3 as our very popular shop dog. Ammo has such a strong personality (as most small dogs seem to have) that I thought he would be the perfect subject for a photobooth. As you can see with these prints he gave me some great shots to work with!
You may purchase any of these prints at Studio 3 or online through our etsy shop.
