Infantales

Recently we have been framing works from a great local business called Infantales. They make prints that tell about the birth of your child.

Starting from a hand-drawn colored pencil original, each custom print is digitally reproduced with your baby’s personal information, making your print a truly unique keepsake. Printed using today’s state-of-the-art techniques, the finished piece is of the highest quality both aesthetically and technically. The piece is printed on heavyweight (308gsm) Hahnemühle Photo Rag Paper, a beautifully finished photographic matte paper from a legendary fine art paper manufacturer. (Founded in 1584, the products produced by these masters are renowned for their aesthetics and enduring permanence. It is a 100% cotton, acid-free paper, as beautiful to the touch as it is to the eye.) Printed using pigmented inks, not dyes, this print should last for a lifetime when properly displayed. In a study conducted by Wilhelm Imaging Research, our printing method was estimated to produce prints which will last over 90 years under normal circumstances when properly stored or displayed.

You have the option of purchasing these prints framed or unframed. Framing is done professionally at Studio 3 with archival quality materials. I think they would make a great child’s first birthday gift.
