Partially concealed by lush foliage, the painting reveals what appears to be a scene right out of the old world. It is actually a small part of a marvelous country estate nestled in the heart of the beautiful Brandywine Valley. Built in the early 1900’s, this picturesque nine hundred and forty-four acre property with its wonderful naturalistic gardens is located along Route 52, just north of Wilmington, Delaware.
